A base and a headboard in one line
Most upholstered beds are two objects pretending to be one: a frame on the floor and a padded panel against the wall. Onda is drawn as a single curve that rises from the base into the headboard without a break, and the padding follows it. Seen from the side the bed is one gesture, which is why it survives in a catalog where fashions have turned over twice since 2007.
The frame is cushioned along its whole length, so the bed is soft where a shin meets it in the dark. That sounds like a small thing until you live with a hard wooden frame for a winter. Covers come in fabric and leather, and on a bed we usually quote the removable version whether or not it was asked for.
The bedside tables and the chest of drawers came seven years after the bed and take the curve into a cylinder: round solid wood bodies with tops in the same material or in stone. A round bedside table has one real advantage in a bedroom, which is that there is no corner at hip height on the way to the bathroom.
The pouf is the oldest piece here and the least expected: a perfect cube with a single line of stitching across the middle. It reads as a cube from a distance and as something soft up close, and in a living room it does the work of an extra seat without looking like one.
