Fixed, not modular, and that is the point

Almost everything else in this catalog is a system. Brera is not: the sofa is a fixed piece with a set width, and the design depends on that. A modular sofa has to hide its seams and repeat its module; a fixed one can run one horizontal line from arm to arm, and that line is what you are buying.

It is also generous rather than compact. The seat is wide and the proportions are long, so Brera reads well in a room with a clear wall behind it and poorly in a room where it has to turn a corner. If your living room needs a chaise, this is the wrong family, and we will say so.

The bed from 2024 carries the same architecture into the bedroom. Low, horizontal, quiet, with a headboard that continues the line instead of interrupting it. It is the natural companion to the sofa if you are furnishing a whole apartment in one go.

The bedside tables come in two sizes, and the smaller one is drawn to sit inside the footprint of the bed rather than beside it. In a bedroom where the bed nearly fills the wall, that detail is the difference between a night table and no night table at all.

A fixed sofa can hold one unbroken horizontal line. A modular one cannot.
